My Story
Hi, I'm Alex.
I discovered somatics in my early 30s after years of living in a constant state of stress without realizing it. Between graduate school, working for nearly a decade in community mental health, and eventually realizing how many emotions I'd been carrying without processing (while also discovering I likely fall somewhere on the female neurodivergent spectrum), my nervous system went from simply stressed to deeply dysregulated. My sleep was terrible, I felt constantly on edge, and even small things felt overwhelming—dog hair on the bed, last-minute changes in plans, or a sink full of dishes.
Thankfully, the Instagram gods knew what they were doing and dropped a very credible somatic instructor right into my feed. For the first time, someone explained what was happening in my body instead of simply telling me to manage my symptoms.
Through consistent somatic practice and small, nervous-system-friendly lifestyle changes, I've improved my sleep, learned how to regulate my stress response, and built a deeper connection with my body.
Now, I want to return the favor by helping women, mothers, those living with chronic pain who aren't finding relief, and women/LGBTQ+ babes feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in survival mode discover that healing doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes, it starts with just five minutes a day.
